BoredPanda.com is one of those websites that serves up memes that are as eye-catching as they are time-wasting. Titles like “Husband Goes To Groomers, Comes Home With The Wrong Dog” are accompanied by photographic evidence (Jupiter readers would have to agree that the dogs in question do look fairly similar). BoredPanda’s authors probably wouldn’t protest the proposition that spending time on their site is best suited to those with time to spare.
Last week, BP chronicled entries culled from Zillow’s ‘Best of’ Twitter page. It is a collection of the weirdest real estate listings ever, titled with appreciative captions.
Jupiter Readers Treated to Some Very Weird Listings
Some examples of the weirdness:
- “A Very Normal Listing: Nothing Out of the Ordinary Here” is a modern-looking two-story home’s listing photos, pretty similar to what you’d expect from Jupiter listings—except for a couple of 7-foot tall inflated turquoise unicorns, one seated at the dining room table and another poised to take a shower in the master bathroom.
- “It’s Like Living Inside a Terrible Wedding Cake” is a single unit in a four-story condo complex that is so stuffed with pink and purple artifacts that it really does resemble pastry that’s been severely over-frosted.
- “This is Where They Watch Snow White Sleep” is an unremarkable bedroom photo, perfectly normal except for the seven red velvet chairs arranged attentively only a foot or so from the far side of the queen-sized bed.
- “I Believe This is Called ‘Yar-Har-Art Deco’” features unbelievably intricate woodwork on a balcony that makes it appear to be the bridge of a pirate ship bearing down on the indoor pool.
- “You Say ‘County Jail,’ I Say In-Law Suite” must actually have been a local jailhouse because the “bedrooms” retain their original character (metal shelves for beds, barred windows, lidless commodes in corners, etc.).
- “Do The Owners Come In Peace?” is a low-roofed, domed structure that resembles some of those pictures of UFOs the Air Force has been grudgingly releasing to the public. The interior shots feature a circular staircase leading down to an empty chamber that makes you wonder where they’ve hidden the propulsion unit.
- “It’s Been a Hot Minute Since A House Made Me Reel Back in Horror” really must be seen to be believed: so here it is on listing #15 (look for the zebras).
